A refined set of four Imperial Russian devotional icons featuring 84 zolotnik (875) silver oklads over hand-painted tempera on gessoed wooden panels. These intimate icons were created for personal prayer and travel devotion during the late 19th century. The group includes sacred figures such as the Virgin Mary, Saint John the Baptist, Saint Alexander Nevsky, and the Archangel Michael. Each icon is framed by finely chased and parcel-gilt silver covers with radiant sunburst motifs — a characteristic decorative element of the Imperial Russian period. Hallmarks indicate 84 silver standard, with assayer marks "A. Sh." and maker possibly Aleksei V. Stepanov, dated 1867 and 1890 respectively. These small-scale icons reflect the craftsmanship and devotional artistry of late Imperial Russia. Condition: Silver oklads with natural patina and age wear. Minor abrasions and handling marks consistent with devotional use. Structurally intact.
