Christ is shown frontally in solemn blessing, holding the open Gospel inscribed in Church Slavonic with the well-known invitation to the faithful: “Come unto Me…”. The composition is enriched with narrative scenes including the Resurrection at the lower register and other important liturgical moments arranged in traditional Orthodox iconographic structure. Executed in tempera on wood with gesso ground and gilded background. The facial modeling is refined and expressive, with classical elongated features and controlled highlights typical of 19th century Russian sacred art. The natural patina, aged varnish, and devotional wear confirm its authenticity and historical depth. A substantial and spiritually powerful piece, combining central Pantocrator imagery with a festal program — making it both theologically meaningful and visually commanding. Grateful this exceptional piece has found its new home. “𝔒𝔩𝔡 𝔴𝔬𝔬𝔡 𝔠𝔞𝔯𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰 𝔥𝔬𝔩𝔶 𝔰𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰”
