A remarkable multi-scene icon depicting the principal feasts of the Orthodox liturgical calendar, arranged around a central sacred composition. Each register presents key moments such as the Nativity, Baptism, Presentation, and other major celebrations, offering a complete devotional cycle within a single panel. Such icons held a special role in private devotion, allowing the faithful to contemplate the full rhythm of the Church year. Despite its wear, the icon retains a strong spiritual presence, with expressive figures and traditional composition reflecting the enduring language of Russian iconography. Executed in tempera on wood with gesso preparation, the surface shows honest age with natural craquelure, areas of paint loss, and visible wear consistent with centuries of use. There are signs of age-related abrasion and minor old interventions, but the icon remains fully hand-painted and structurally sound with original panel construction.
