A traditional multi-panel composition centered on the Resurrection (Descent into Hades), surrounded by revered saints including Saint Nicholas. This icon reflects the devotional practice of combining the principal feast with patron saints, making it both liturgically and personally significant. Executed in egg tempera on wood with a gilded background, the piece shows the characteristic linear drawing, strong contouring, and restrained provincial palette typical of late 19th-century Russian workshops. The slightly simplified facial modeling and structured panel divisions are consistent with that period’s devotional production. The surface presents age-appropriate wear, patina, minor abrasions, and craquelure consistent with over 120 years of history. The original wooden panel with dual rear support slats remains intact, confirming traditional construction. Sold as is, preserving its authenticity and historical presence. “𝔒𝔩𝔡 𝔴𝔬𝔬𝔡 𝔠𝔞𝔯𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰 𝔥𝔬𝔩𝔶 𝔰𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔦𝔢𝔰”
