A remarkable pair of Russian Orthodox icons from our family collection, preserved for generations and now entrusted to a new collector in Lebanon. The first icon depicts the Mother of God with the Christ Child, rendered in the traditional Russian manner with a richly gilded background and deep devotional character. The second is a finely painted Resurrection with the Twelve Great Feasts icon, presenting the principal events of the liturgical year in a beautifully organized multi-scene composition. Both icons display the authentic character of historical Russian iconography, with naturally aged surfaces, original patina, and the spiritual presence that only genuine devotional works acquire through time. We are grateful that these sacred works will continue to be appreciated and preserved in their new home. Thank you to our valued collector in Lebanon for the trust placed in Russian Icon Legacy.
